Jonathan came to visit.  Jonathan who I’ve been friends with for 25 years (if only that were an exaggeration)!  Jonathan who Dick and Jane hadn’t even met yet. You see, Dick and Jane were still a month away from being born back when I last visited Jonathan in St. Paul in Oct. ’06.

Jonathan brought his friend Jennifer from the East Bay. And the first thing we did was go out to eat at Chow out near Golden Gate Park on 9th Avenue. Jonathan chowed down as Jane and Dick watched.

And then it was on to the park. Jane and Dick loved it. It was a glorious day. The twins got to kick through some leaves almost like a real fall day. We stopped for an.....uh.....herbal refreshment, and then went on to The DeYoung to check out the view and some art.

Highlights of the Day:

  1.     Dick’s - Ruth Asawa sculptures at The DeYoung
  2.     Jane’s - Chow’s warm flourless chocolate cake
  3.     Dan’s - Introducing Jennifer and Jonathan to Jane and Dick
  4.     Jonathan and Jennifer’s - ?????????

And Jane and Dick really would like to know what you think. They have many questions. Let them know.

  1.     Where can you get a really good slice of chocolate cake?
  2.     Should parents who allow their children to climb sculptures in sculpture gardens be executed?
  3.     Comfortable yet dorky looking shoes - yes or no?
  4.     Legalize it?

Jonathan, Food, GG Park, Art.....
Food or art?? That is the question. They really would like to hear from you (so they tell me).
Drop them a line here.
