Work it!!

So here it is mid December already.  The shoes will be 3 weeks old tomorrow and they had not been to work once yet. Ya gotta start them early lest they become a bunch of freeloading deadbeats. Not on my watch. No fucking way.

How many times have you heard kids whining and complaining? “Feed me” they say. Buncha needy, whiney, thankless little brats. “Get to fucking work already” I say! And my shoes were right there with no complaints. It was not even “Bring a Brat to Work Day”. Nope, my shoes and I came to do an honest day’s work. Cute and with no mooching. Just like I like ‘em!

Pizza was supplied for lunch today.  So I had to teach the twins that no matter what happens, even if it’s a free lunch, you still need to get the fuck out of the office everyday. Much less chance of going postal that way. So the twins and I lassoed Ian into walking down to the ferry building with us for a chocolate break.

And what would a trip to downtown SF, or downtown anywhere USA for that matter, be like without the view of the Starbucks across the street. After all, you wouldn’t want to think for a second that you might have been transported to an alternate universe where there are no Starbucks.  I mean really.

Get To Work!!!!!!!!!!
Still attached to their NY trip memorabilia, yet no hesitance to get going!!
Heading down the stairs, no fear!!
Mission Street.  Waiting for Bus.
16th and Mission.  First BART Station!! How exciting! Not even nervous.  Old pros after muni underground and NYC subway.
Waiting on platform.
“What kind of pansy-ass mass transit system is this?” the twins said to me.  “Carpeting on the floors, upholstered seats that are actually impossible to clean, this is no subway system. It’s filthier than NY”.  “Well” I said, “you don’t get as much of the smell of urine, but you pay more, and have less places to go. And the suburban riders can still feel semi-upscale. It’s the California experience. If only they sprayed that new carpet smell every day in each car.”
Babies’ first elevator ride followed very quickly by babies’ first step into work
Under Dan’s desk. Getting used to their work area.
Hello Kitty, a familiar face.
Meeting the team.
First step into the yup-scale Ferry Building. Mmmm, everything tastes so RICH!!
