Peel me a grape.

I can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks to the day since Dick and Jane and I, along with our pal Deb, had a chance to see THE FABULOUS Veronica Klaus performing with her Jazz combo at the legendary Enrico’s in North Beach.

Veronica’s music, as always, totally kicked ass. Dick is in absolute heaven with Veronica’s latest incarnation as San Francisco’s premier interpreter of the great american songbook/jazz standards. From All of Me to Peel Me A Grape, Dick couldn’t ask for anything more (he seems to have picked up my taste in music).

Actually, Dick just now had the nerve to ask for more.  He said he’d love to hear Veronica’s interpretation of Sweet Georgia Brown.  “Now Dick” I said, “that’s a bit much to ask for”. “No harm in trying” Dick said.

And as for Jane, she seemed quite taken with Veronica herself, and her super-chic, super-glamorous pumps. That Jane, getting a little too close to Veronica’s sexy instep. And they’d only just met!

All in all, an amazing evening. Champagne, great music, and hangin with Deb.  But alas, no pics of Dick and Jane with Deb this time around. But here are some other pics from the evening:

And as for the 5.6 earthquake tonight at 8:04, just as Veronica would have been beginning her weekly gig, they must have just been swingin it too hard!

And All That Jazz
Even on the way over to North Beach everything started to look just a little more fabulous. Check out Jane with the view from Church and 20th while waiting for the J Church. Everything seemed to have a little more twinkle than usual.
Veronica, always the gracious hostess, kindly agreed to pose for a photo with Dick and Jane. Veronica, the twins owe you one.
