Sweet Baby Jesus!!

The twins and I truly hope that the baby jesus crawled down your chimney a few days ago and gave you everything you deserve! As for us, it was a mellow day. I went for a walk in the afternoon, while the twins stayed home and napped (after all, they’re barely one month old). But then in the evening I took the twins out for a special babyjesusday treat.

Though I don’t really know what the fuck you’re actually supposed to do on xmass, I figured torturing the twins with their family would be the way to go. So on the way through the new mega-mall on the way to the movies (ancient jewish tradition), we stopped by the Clarks store!  Finally being able to set foot in the mall without the shoppers was as enjoyable as being in a mall could possibly be. Ah, the deserted aisles.....

But the twins loved being able to look in the window at all the other Clark shoes in the store. And the safety of the locked doors preventing any evil family members from getting too close (see pic at top of page). Family at a controlled distance, ahhhh, the only way to go.

The twins did get into their first scuffle with authority though. Debbie and me and the twins were early and it was crowded in the lobby of the theater. So we went back out through the mall to sit and chat for a while. There are chairs apparently reserved for tired shoppers. The security guards actually came up to us and told us the mall was closed except to walk through to the theater, and that we weren’t allowed to sit in the open chairs though there were hundreds of other folks there. I was in a no drama kinda mood and was just going to bail, but Debbie refused and argued with the poor schmuck. He gave up and called his boss to came over and explain why we had to leave, and the boss gave up after arguing with Debbie for a few minutes. So he said we could stay there until our movie was starting. Victory!! Have I said yet that Debbie kicks ass??  Well she does.

And we all loved the movie, Children of Men, though there was not nearly enough Julianne Moore. The twins now think I should dump my current boyfriend Gael Garcia Bernal for Clive Owen, but I think the two of them should just learn to share me.

And here we are back in the filth of muni on the way home. Ahh, the trash.
